Summer Youth Program
The mission of the CUMC Summer Program is to act as an outreach ministry embodying the Social Principles of the United Methodist Church which maintain that education is the responsibility of the church as well as of the family and the schools, and instructs the use of "innovative methods of education designed to assist every child toward complete fulfillment as an individual person of worth."
The 2018 Summer Youth Program will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week beginning June 5 and will run through July 5 (classes will not be held on July 4). Vacation Bible School will be held July 9-13 at Colby UMC. Please see the VBS tab for more information on this year's theme!
As part of the 2018 program, Colby UMC will be partnering with the Colby Public Schools to offer free lunches through the Summer Food Service Program to ANY child under the age of 19. (Note: you do not need to be enrolled in the Summer Youth Program to receive free meals!)
Registration forms and booklets for 2018 will be available in May. If you have had children participate in the program in the past, you will receive a booklet in the mail. You may also download the booklet (when it becomes available); just use the drop down menu above under Summer Youth Program. If you would like to be added to our mailing list please contact the church office by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 785-460-2761.
We are busy making plans for this summer's classes! If you have a special gift or hobby that you'd like to share with children, please contact the church office or Trish Starbuck (CUMC Summer Youth Program Director).
